Five Short Stories
For All The Listeners Out There
A Terrible Tale Of Echolocation…
A rogue transmission is picked up by a late night local radio station, situated on an
isolated industrial estate deep amongst the hills. The two employees on duty
think they recognise the tune being broadcast, but can’t remember when or how they first heard it. Within the surrounding area, the same signal reaches a group of teenage friends camping out in the woods,
and a divorcee piecing her life together in a remote farmhouse. Where have they
heard that song before? And is it getting louder… or closer…?
Garden Reach
A Terrible Tale Of Suburbia…
When the newly wed Cotchford’s move into ‘Garden Reach’, their starter
home in suburbia, it appears they have attained the tranquil utopia they always aspired to.
Friendly, approachable neighbours, a sense of community, and a picturesque back garden lined with aspen trees. So why does a sense of unease remain? Why
do the leaves of the aspen trees appear to shiver and rustle even without a breeze?
And exactly how far does their garden reach?
Stills & Son
A
Terrible Tale Of Retail…
It’s late on Christmas Eve in the old, ramshackle toyshop. Time has changed the facades of the surrounding retail outlets, but not the old, ramshackle toyshop. Behind the cluttered window displays, Mr Stills is rearranging the familiar, faded
goods, serving the regular customers. Mr Stills only sells ‘classic’
toys, none of these worthless, new fangled gimmicks. Unfortunately, this is not
the policy of the company who have recently bought him out. Thus, when the company
inspector arrives late on Christmas Eve, the stock take inevitably leads to a confrontation, as well as some rather unexpected
discoveries…

whilst slowly defining your own. Those subtle, unaccommodating office politics…those
awkward silences…that sense of creeping terror that your new colleagues may be devotees of a barbaric, subterranean
sect! From a shortlist of applicants, they have selected you as their next sacrifice!
